I don’t really write reviews but I just can’t say enough how grateful to have come across Rodd at Cave Creek K9! My husband and I had been looking for someone to train our dog and no once beats the reasonable price and professionalism Rodd offers. Rodd and his team are wonderful. We have an 8-month German shepherd and he was a very excited dog with zero training. I honestly did not know what to do and I truly did not think anyone was capable of getting through to him. Max went to dog training school and came back a completely different dog! In fact it's been 1 week since max has been home and we adore the new guy I couldn't ask for it to be any better. Rodd and his team are phenomenal. We also had a gathering for our son and he was just an awesome, superb dog. Thank you so much Rodd and team for an incredible turn out.

We've known Rodd for well over 25 years. I got my first Belgian Malinois thru him 20+ years ago. In the dog world it takes a little extra stamina to train a Malinois, they are smart, agile and fearless dogs sometimes too smart for their own good. We've had several dogs since then and Rodd has always been my go to guy for training help when no one else has the answers he has never let me down. Rodd, Kerrie and David are the best in town and I know they won't let you down either. The most important thing you give you dog is training. We love Rodd and Cave Creek K9 Training. He has an easy going, calm personality that our dog responded to immediately. Rodd not only trained our dog, but more importantly trained the owners as well! He worked with us to understand the techniques and the reasoning behind them. Rodd was patient during the training process and always available by phone for follow up questions and suggestions. He was supportive & encouraging regardless of how well we, or our dog were learning. He helped us keep a sense of humor through the early puppy stages. We trusted him to achieve the goals that we felt were most important, and it was well placed. We were all excited to see him every week at our door. He's not only our trainer, but has become a part of our family.

I can’t say enough about Rodd Proctor and his training methods. My German Shepherd had aggressive leash issues that made walking her not enjoyable at all. I researched quite a few trainers and felt very confident with Rodd being he took time to answer all my numerous questions before we decided to enroll our dog in his three week program. During his training we received numerous updates and videos of our dogs progress, you could see in the videos the caring heart that Rodd had towards our dog and how completely bonded they became. Upon bringing our dog home to us he has spent numerous hours, in person and on the phone reinforcing his training to the dog and us as owners. You truly can sense the passion he has to make your dog the best pet it can be for you.

We had a great experience with Rodd and Cave Creek K9. We took our 7 month old Sheepadoodle and 8 year old Boykin Spaniel. We had different training requests for each. He tailored the training to exactly what we requested and did a great job with both. He was very understanding of my apprehension to leave them and made me feel much better and communicated frequently. Follow up after training to make sure me and my husband understand how to continue was great. We are extremely pleased and highly recommend.

We had the best experience with Cave Creek K9 training. Our pup, Silas, came to us as an older puppy. He is a busy and independent dog and we really needed a foundation of good training to build upon. As a family, we needed to be taught how to work with him. I am so happy we found Rodd! Silas participated in his 3-week board and train. Rodd showed us how to keep his focus and bring out the best in Silas, follow commands in a very positive way. He made sure we felt comfortable with how to continue the training at home and continues to be a great resource!

My large dog, Baxter is a Great Dane & German Shepard mix, lacked confidence and needed socializing . My husband and I were going out of the country and I saw an opportunity to place Baxter with a trainer to work on these things while we were gone. Much to my relief, he was immediately at ease with Rodd. Not only did Rodd get Baxter out and around people but he added to the training we had already in place. Baxter responds very well to commands and I confidently have him off leash on a regular basis.
